How to Lead in Times of Turbulence
Participation in this course meets the recommended best practices for continuing directors education prescribed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Complex, fast-moving threats to organizations can happen at any time and, thus, leaders need to wake up to the reality that a crisis is not a question of IF but of WHEN.
Oversight of crisis preparedness and efficient communication are key responsibilities of any board. When a crisis hits, the effectiveness of the board, and its ability to help a company thrive, will be determined by the quality and timeliness of its response.
Amid the on-going spread of Covid-19 and its lasting severe impact on the global economy, every organization is vulnerable to this crisis in one form or another. No business is immune from these impacts. The pandemic is reshaping the economic landscape and all businesses must execute a crisis communication strategy that is timely, transparent and proactive.
The Institute of Corporate Directors presents “Crisis-Ready Boards: How to Lead in Times of Turbulence”, an online course that features the critical importance of crisis communication in these challenging times. The session will highlight the following discussions:
○ What is crisis communication and why is it important? How is it different from crisis
○ How vital is the role of the board in contributing to a strategic and proactive crisis response?
