Strategy for Directors

Strategy for Directors (SDD) is a one-day program designed to help Corporate Directors appreciate the strategy map, learn process techniques for setting strategic direction and use the balanced scorecard for performance management.  By the end of the training day, participants will be in a better position to set sound strategic directions, having acquired the know-how to interpret and use these tools.   

 

This course also prepares directors of Government Owned and Controlled Corporations to comply with GCG's Performance Evaluation System (PES) and the Performance Agreement Negotiation. 

OBJECTIVES

At the end of the course, participants are expected to:

 

       Have greater appreciation of the expectations from their role in strategy design and

       monitoring

 

       Have an appreciation of the company’s transformation story through the strategy map

       Appreciate how to integrate strategy monitoring and accountability in the regular

       board meetings

​

        Learn how to interpret and use the strategy map and the scorecard in making

        strategic decisions
