Romeo Fernando Aquino, Jr., GICD
Jojo Aquino is a Principal of Aquino Consulting Associates and President of Caronelle Development Corporation. He has been an ADB consultant and is an independent director for RBSilay, the chair of Risk Committee.
Jojo has a Project Management Professional certification, has spent most of his career in banking and technology. He led technology for an insurance firm, led a telco outsource technology operations firm, managed a software subsidiary in Hong Kong, was offshoring consultant in the U.S., and led enterprise transformation in a shared service center.
Jojo enjoys studying. He graduated MA Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. He reskilled himself in machine learning/neural networks in 2019/2020.
He has been an ICD speaker for strategic IT governance, cybersecurity governance, and digital transformation.
Mr. Carmelo Alcala is the Director for MIS, Compliance, Risk and Audit of Visaya Knowledge process outsourcing. At the same time, he sits as a professional board director in 3 SEC-registered corporations - Exceture, Inc., Woodfields, and ISACA-Manila. He has also served directorship in multiple organizations in the Philippines, including Geniusto International, Ltd., ISACA-Manila, and NPC Multi-Purpose Employees Cooperative. Lastly, he is a teaching fellow of ICD.
Philip Kwa has more than 20 years of broad global working experience across multiple corporate and entrepreneurial environments. He held key roles as CEO, CFO, Sales and Marketing Head as well as Strategic Consulting Director, demonstrating a versatile skill set and adaptability to a diverse range of sectors.
He is currently the Academic Program Director for the Master of Cybersecurity at the esteemed Asian Institute of Management.
His main areas of focus include cybersecurity training and exercises, cyber risk and governance assessment, Business Process Transformation, Factory Automation, and Entrepreneurship.
Over the span of more than a decade, Philip gained international exposure by working in various countries including the USA, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Japan, and Korea. Here, he managed regional and complex IT implementation, Supply Chain, and Business Strategy Projects, honing his management and technical skills to the global standard.
In addition to his hands-on experience, he is a well-qualified professional, holding an MBA from the University of Hull, an SMU-SID Diploma in Directorship, a NUS-ISS Post Graduate Diploma in Knowledge Engineering, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia. Moreover, his professional certifications include CISM, PMP, Practitioner Certificate in Data Processing, and Certified Accountant status, further bolstering his credentials.
Outside of his professional life, Philip is committed to serving his community. He founded and started the Infosecurity Chapter of the Singapore Computer Society. He is a fellow member of the Singapore Computer Chapter. He holds the position of Deputy General Treasurer at Tech Talent Assembly, a non-profit organisation under NTUC that focuses on enabling PMETs to be future work ready. He serves as the Audit Chair at ACE (Action Community for Entrepreneurship) Singapore and was the Audit Chair at a Singapore Manufacturing Company listed on the HKEX.
