This foundational program introduces ISO 31000 through a board governance lens, focusing on strategic oversight. The link between objectives and risk and how boards influence enterprise-wide risk culture ensures a common understanding of the board’s accountability for value creation and protection.

Over three days, participants will build literacy in risk governance structures, policies, and organizational culture. They will learn to define acceptable risk levels, establish governance expectations, and ask value-focused questions regarding uncertainty and strategic challenges. This stage sets the foundation for board awareness and effective oversight.

At this level, board members refine their skills in governance effectiveness, ethical leadership, and cultural influence. Over two days, participants will learn to strengthen governance oversight through committees and reporting lines while developing the skills to understand and influence enterprise risk culture and behavior. Using ISO 31000 principles, they will explore how to apply risk-informed judgment to ESG, stakeholder engagement, and organizational resilience. They will also learn from real-world cases of risk governance failure and success, ensuring they can test their judgment through board simulations and ethical dilemma.

This Stage emphasizes how boards ensure that risk management is effectively implemented, using ISO 31000’s framework components such as integration, resources, roles, and evaluation. The focus is on oversight of framework design, integration, and risk-informed decision-making.

Over two days, participants will learn to assess ERM framework maturity, review risk integration into business plans and resource allocation, and strengthen board interactions with risk owners and assurance functions. They will also enhance their ability to interpret risk dashboards, key risk indicators (KRIs), and emerging risk signals, ensuring ERM is aligned with budgeting and planning.

This exclusive session serves as the final step toward achieving the Certified Enterprise Risk Governance (CERG) designation.

In this one-day session plus portfolio assessment, participants will learn to lead integrated governance transformation using ISO 31000 principles to translate risk oversight into long-term enterprise resilience and stakeholder value. They will design risk strategies that support innovation, ESG, and digital shifts, ensuring the board is equipped to lead in a future-ready environment. This exclusive session also provides the final pathway for leaders to fulfill the requirements and earn the Certified Enterprise Risk Governance (CERG) designation.

1. CRE™ – Certified in Risk Essentials (Foundation Level)

Passing Grade: 70%

Minimum Requirement:

Bachelor’s Degree or Final Year Undergraduate Student

Designed for individuals new to risk management, CRE validates foundational understanding of core risk principles.

Who should be certified?

Entry-level professionals, recent graduates in business related fields, or any individual new to risk management domain wanting to establish a foundational understanding.

2. ERMAP™ – ERM Associate Professional (Foundation Level)

120 Multiple Choice Questions
Passing Grade: 70%

Minimum Requirement:

Bachelor’s Degree

What it is:

Tailored for young professionals working in or alongside risk-related functions, ERMAP demonstrates knowledge of a holistic Enterprise Risk Management approach across organizations.

Who should be certified?

Professionals working in departments that interact with risk management, such as operations, financiers or strategy, who need a basic grasp of enterprise-wide risk dynamics.

3. ERMCP™ – ERM Certified Professional (Intermediate Level)

Passing Grade: 70%

Minimum Requirement:

3 years of risk management experience

Signifying in-depth Enterprise Risk Management strategies, ERMCP is ideal for professionals aiming to integrate risk considerations deeply into organizational decision-making.

4. CERG™ – Certified in Enterprise Risk Governance (Advanced Level)

5 years experience as board member
2 years board experience + 5 years risk management experience
