Boards Insights: National AI Strategy is hosted by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD). This session will feature insights from two distinguished speakers—Dr. Renato U. Solidum Jr., Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and Secretary Henry Rhoel Aguda, Secretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
The event will explore the Philippine government's National AI Strategy, covering how artificial intelligence will shape national development, governance, and industry landscapes. The discussion will include key policy frameworks guiding AI adoption, opportunities and challenges for the private sector, and the strategic implications for boards and corporate leaders.
A panel discussion will follow, moderated by ICD Fellow Mr. VJ Africa, with panelists including Secretary Solidum and Secretary Aguda. The panel will offer diverse perspectives on AI's impact and provide an opportunity for further engagement with experts in the field.
As AI continues to transform business models and governance practices, understanding the government's approach is crucial for board members. This session will provide valuable insights on navigating the evolving AI landscape and ensuring alignment with national AI development goals.
The event will take place on July 7, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Sarika Function Room, Dusit Thani, Makati City, with an online option via Zoom for those unable to attend in person.
