SPEAKER

Sunil Puri is the Asia-Pacific senior director of research, innovation, and product development at the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL). He is a seasoned leadership and human capital researcher and thought leader with over 20 years of experience across large global organizations. Prior to CCL, he served as head of Research and Insights at the Human Capital Leadership Institute (HCLI), set up by the Singapore government under Singapore Management University (SMU) to drive the global Asian leadership initiative. Sunil has authored several research studies including BOLD 3.0: Future Fluent Board Leadership in Asia, Imagining Asia 2030: Future Fluent Asian Leader, Architecting Future Fluent Culture: Critical Role of Human Resources (Asia Study), Developing Global Asian Leaders: From Local Stars to Global CXOs, CHRO 3.0: Preparing to Lead the Future HR Function in Asia, HR Leadership Stall Points, Developing Next-Generation Indian Business Leaders: The Keys to Success. In 2015, he co-edited a book titled Human Capital Insights: Inspiring Practices from Asia, for Asia. Sunil is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, India, and Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad, India.

VALENTINO S. BAGATSING, FICD

Mr. Bagatsing is the President and CEO of Investment and Capital Corporation of the Philippines (ICCP).  He has more than 30 years of extensive experience in investment and fund raising, crisis management, restructuring, privatization, commercial and development banking in South Asia, ASEAN and North America.  He has held various senior positions in multiple countries for the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World bank group.

 

He is an Independent Director of Apex Mining Co Inc., a member of the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines, The Makati Business club and a Fellow of the ICD.

 

A Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Bagatsing holds a Master of Business Administration from McLaren School of Business, University of San Francisco. He attended various executive education programs at Harvard Kennedy School, Columbia University and Asian Institute of Management. He has served as facilitator, panelist & speaker at several events both in the Philippines & Internationally on issues related to development & finance.

SERAFIN JESUS JULIANO, FICD

Mr. Juliano has extensive experience in the Trade industry of the Public Sector since 2002. He then ventured into the Private sector in 2013, where he managed Consulting, Training, and Holding companies.

 

Mr. Juliano was a key-mover in Philippine Export Development Plan (PEDP) 2002-2004 as co-writer with the Development Team, in PEDP 2005-2007 as Senior Adviser to the Development Team and in PEDP 2008-2010 as Special Assistant to the Secretary for International Trade. He was a former General Manager and Member of the Boards of BiC Philippines Inc. and Jardine Wines & Spirits Inc., and former Marketing Director of Allied Domecq Philippines Inc. and of Getz Brothers Philippines Inc., multi-national companies engaged in fast-moving consumer goods, fashion adult beverages, health & beauty aid products.

 

Currently, he Chairs the Board of Alpha Acanthus Inc., a risk management agency and consulting company and is also an Independent Director of GRGC Inc. a food and beverage on-premise Company. He also acts as a Senior Consultant and advisor to PACC-MPC, a multi-purpose cooperative of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

 

He obtained his A.B Philosophy Degree in the De La Salle University of Manila.

FLORENCIA GOZON TARRIELA, FICD

Ms. Tarriela is the first woman Chair and Independent Director of Philippine National Bank since 2005. She has extensive experience in field of banking and finance and exhibited outstanding leadership roles in her career.  She served as an Undersecretary of Finance in the Department of Finance and an Alternate Monetary Board Member of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Land Bank of the Philippines, and Philippine Deposit Insurance Company.

 

She was given the following awards: Go Negosyo 2018 Woman Intrapreneur Awardee, Most Outstanding Citibank Philippines Alumni Awardee for Community Involvement in 2014, and Distinguished Lady Banker awarded by Bank Administration Institute of the Philippines in 1981.

 

Currently, she is an Independent Director in the Lucio Tan Group, Inc. and PNB International Investment Corporation. She is also the Chairman of PNB Capital & Investment Corporation and PNB Mizuho Leasing and Finance Corporation.

Ms. Tarriela earned her Master of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) USA wherein she topped the Master’s Comprehensive Exams and completed the M.A. Degree with an “A” average in three quarters. She obtained her bachelor’s degree on BSBA Major in Economics from the University of the Philippines.
