Congratulations to our newly appointed ICD Executive Director, Engr. Valentin A. Reyes!

Dear ICD Members:
On behalf of the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Corporate Directors, I am announcing the appointment of Mr. Valentin A. Reyes as the new Executive Director of ICD, effective 3 February 2024.
Mr. Reyes brings over 30 years of extensive experience in the fields of Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, TQM and Environmental, Health & Safety in the semiconductor manufacturing, telecommunications, airline and rail transport industries. He occupied senior positions in leading multinational companies like Intel, TMX and JMJ Associates and domestic corporations such as PAL and Light Rail Manila Corporation. Throughout his diverse career, Mr. Reyes has actively engaged in various roles, involving leadership and team development, strategic planning, change management, quality systems, project management, capital planning, cost and budgetary control, and business process design not only in the Philippines but also in China.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Reyes served as the President of the UP Alumni Engineers and the UP Engineering Research and Development Foundation, Inc. (UPERDFI). He remains as a member of the Board of Trustees of UPERDFI, focusing on faculty development, student support, infrastructure improvement and bringing research to the market and society. In the religious community, he is a Mission Core Group and Elders Assembly Member of the Couples for Christ and was a Member of the National Gawad Kalinga Shelter Program Committee.
A Iskolar ng Bayan, Mr. Reyes holds a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, all from the University of the Philippines. He taught management and engineering economy/financial analysis for several years at the U.P. Engineering and Business graduate schools.
We are confident that with his fresh perspective, strategic vision, and strong leadership, Mr. Reyes will further strengthen ICD’s mission of advocating good governance and stewardship in the corporate sector for the benefit of society.
